Multiple departments from Cass County and Otoe County are on a large fire in the area of 84th Street & Highway 34. Please avoid the area if possible, and if you do need to travel this area, use extreme caution as emergency vehicles are shuttling water and supplies to firefighters.

As of 22:20, many units have been returned to their stations from the fire at 84th & Highway 34, outside of Nehawka. However there are still several departments on scene, including, but not limited to, Nehawka, Avoca, Plattsmouth, Murray, & CCEMA. If you need to be in the area, please use extreme caution, as fire apparatus and heavy machinery are still working to put out hot spots. If possible, use a different route.
