Avoca Volunteer Fire Department

We would like to thank the Richard P. Kimmel & Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation for the $20,000 grant that has allowed us to replace 100% of our fire hose. Today, the new hose was loaded onto our trucks and is now in service. For our mutual aid friends, Engine 431 now is equipped with 800 feet of 5 inch, 1000 feet of 2 1/2 inch, and 900 feet of 1 1/2 inch, for a grand total of 2,700 feet of hose.
