What's called an annular solar eclipse — better known as a ring of fire — will briefly dim the skies over Nebraska between 10:30am and 12:30pm on October 14, 2023. As the moon lines up precisely between Earth and the sun, it will blot out all but the sun's outer rim. In Nebraska visibility of the eclipse will be only 60%-70%.
