In Canada and the United States, pancakes are often eaten for breakfast with butter and syrup. Maple syrup which is often used as a topping, was originally a sweet drink which was discovered by the Algonquin Indians.

Help Wanted:

The Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation has a part-time position for someone to assist the Executive Director with the creation and implementation of activities that promote Bess Streeter Aldrich, the Aldrich House/Gardens, and Museum. Candidates should appreciate local history, be proficient in the use of technology, and interested in coordinating/promoting Foundation activities.

Hours are flexible and will be negotiated (10 to 25 hours/month). Questions can be directed to Kurk Shrader at 402-867-4233. A letter of application should be submitted by March 1 to Aldrich Foundation, Box 167, Elmwood, NE 68349.
