On late July and August mornings, four bright planets arc across the sky: Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and also Venus, brightest planet of them all, continuing its early morning dominance for now. Venus will disappear into the sunrise glare in early September, pass most directly behind the sun on October 22, and emerge again into the evening sky before the year’s end.

Town Hall Update

We are getting there, Grant has been submitted. Fingers crossed we receive some grant money to help with our “Saving the Town Hall “ project. Private donations continue to come in and we are SO GRATEFUL for what we have received so far. I love reading all the notes that have been written along with their donations. The Town Hall has created so many memories for so many people.

Dear Avoca friends near and far!

The Avoca Town Hall has been a big part of the Village for many years. Without it many people would be at a loss on where to gather for village events and many other occasions.

The last couple of years have been a struggle due to covid cancellations, funds are short. The Hall is in major need of repairs. Board members are working on raising money to help cover the cost of repairs that need to be made.

1. New Roof
2. Masonry work on front of building
3. Replacement of Deck
4. General Maintenance.

If you would like to help in our efforts to save the Town Hall we
would very much appreciate any monetary donation towards our goal of
$25,000.

QUACK OFF IS BACK ON SCHEDULE

January 28th 2023 might be a good day to mark off on your calendar. According to Avoca Volunteer Fire Department, Quackoff is back and looking to be one of the greatest yet!

"It feels like forever since we've had the crowd together to support the Avoca Fire department by racing some ducks, make sure to look for further updates and spread the word, let's make this the biggest year yet!"
