By 1960 vacuum tubes were rapidly being supplanted by transistors, because the latter had become less expensive, did not burn out in service, and were much smaller and more reliable. in the mid-1980s inexpensive microprocessors had stimulated computerization of an enormous variety of consumer products. Hence, the need to recycle older vacuum tube based items.

French Toast Feed

SUNDAY, JUN 12 AT 8 AM

Please join the Avoca Volunteer Fire Department at the Town Hall for our French toast feed!!

The funds raised at this event will be going towards the purchase of much needed life saving equipment to better serve our community.

We will be serving French toast, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, and your choice of sausage or bacon.

Coffee, orange juice, and water will also be provided.

Since we will be across the street from the Fire Station, we will also be having an Open House at the station and the trucks will be pulled out for everyone to see.

The fundraiser will be held at Town Hall.
